The activity was planned and produced by Ms. Wang Jianfen, artistic director of the association, and hosted by Ms. Yang Xiaodan, secretary general of the Association.

Thanks to the artists who have been sparing no effort to promote and develop local culture overseas for many years!

In the interview, director Sun Jie said: “the development of overseas artists of culture and art in overseas for many years is now limited to local, while this is not enough. We must create more opportunities to let the culture and art go out. In addition to performances, some lectures will be held to make traditional culture and art exposed to the society and pass on from generation to generation. How to better develop and inherit the culture and art through the exchange between local and Chinese traditional culture and art.”

Li Jinxia, a performing artist of Qinqiang opera, is still active on the stage and has devoted her life to the pursuit of art. Ms Li Jinxia said: “Qin opera is a representative of the Northwest region with great limitations, such as the northwest characteristics of the bowl cavity. Local operas are the reflection local life and cultural background.” When it comes to the inheritance of opera culture, Ms Li Jinxia hopes that more people, especially young people, will get familiar with and know about opera culture, cultivate their interest and create an environment for cognition. Lecture in various colleges and universities and open opera course training class to be held are great necessities to inherit the traditional opera culture.

Zhang Miaozhen is a famous opera master. She began to learn Yue Opera at the age of 12 and is still prominent and energetic on the stage. She has been conscientious and trained many excellent students and has devoted all her life to the arts. Zhang Miaozhen said: “the American International Culture & Art Exchange Center creates an integrated platform from the perspective of professionals. She proposed a question “is the inheritance of traditional culture and art preceded by theme or content? She believes that the content should be followed by the theme, so that more people and the next generation can accept it first, and then teach and cultivate it!

Zhu Zhiling has been a versatile dancer for 30 years. She has learnt ballet and folk dance. After that, she learned Shaoxing opera and performed with Shanghai shaoxing opera artists out of interests and her pursuit of art is endless. Ms. Zhu Zhiling talked a lot about the inheritance and development of culture and art. She thinks that the American International Culture & Art Exchange Center is an integrated platform it has a bright future. Moreover, she hopes that traditional culture can be known, taught to foreigners and integrated into the culture of American, taking its root deeply in New York and blossoming and bearing fruit in the world.

The American International Culture & Art Exchange Center was thanked and highly praised the artists for providing them with a high-quality platform. Artists believe that the roots and development of local folk and art in different places should meet the following principles:  taking its root deeply in America; engaging into the international world; facing the world;  communicating with more artists from all over the world not only to hold performance but carry out lectures in universities; starting a drama courses to cultivate people’ awareness of traditional culture and art; making the Chinese traditional culture stepping into the world with its inheritance, development and innovation
